The London Achievements Forum was successfully held on the 21st April 2015 at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London, UK. The event saw attendees from over 50 countries with representatives from embassies, government bodies and business enterprises. Participants met to discuss and hear news from programmes such as the Prime Business Destinations 12 attending ‘emerging’ cities, including Solin, Budapest, and Braga, who spoke about the development and investment ongoing in their respective cities. This was followed by the awarding of the ‘Prime Business Destinations Flag’ to cities identified by the Europe Business Assembly (EBA) to have investment potential in urbanisation and city planning. Following this, the city representatives signed their respective memorandums of cooperation with EBA’s Director General Professor John Netting; these memorandums mark a significant point in the beginning and development of the ‘Prime Business Destinations Programme’.
After lunch leading companies presented and the ‘EBA’s Quality Standard’ Awards were given. These awardees have received EBA’s Quality Standard due to their intellectual and economic potential in a specific field. Next the conference was host to presentations from ‘The Best Regional Enterprises and Best Managers’ exhibiting their innovative projects and success factors which have led to the expansion and accomplishment of their individual companies. To end the day the results of ‘The Open Science Competition – Scientist of the Year 2015’ were announced.
The highlight of the event was the International Socrates Award Ceremony with entertainment welcoming 130 international guests.
