Welcome to the Summit of Leaders, this year’s focus and title is Science and Education. Innovative Models of Development. We will have presentations and debates to address the future roles of science and education in the 21st century, the impact of globalization and the changes in the conditions of work and how to effectively manage these changes within our organizations.
Baroness Susan Greenfield, author of the book, Mind Change, How digital technology are leaving their mark on our brains is one of our keynote speakers during this event.
There will be presentations of investment projects and programmes from participating companies and organisations. We invite you to join us in this opportunity to network with high calibre partners, form business relationships, and meet investors. We have also prepared a special banquet evening and have arranged visits to university colleges in Oxford and a tour of the Royal Palace at Windsor Castle.
I look forward to welcoming many of you again as well as meeting new members and participants to this year’s Summit of Leaders.

On behalf of the Club of Rectors may I encourage you to enjoy the many interesting sights here in Oxford; but at the same time, please do not neglect attending the very important sessions which can assist each of us in better understanding the current trends and challenges of technology available to us in Higher Education.
In addition to the sessions are the valuable times set aside to make personal contacts with your colleagues. As we travel among our member universities and visit with Rectors who are members of the Club of Rectors we are amazed at the value that being a member of our unique Club of Rectors brings. As a member of the Club of Rectors of Europe you are aware of the value to you personally as well as for your University.
On the other hand; if you are not yet a member, may I invite and encourage you to become one of our members. This year’s important theme is: ‘Science and Education’. Lectures will include: New Trends and Opportunities. This special event will culminate with the awarding of the ‘Best University’; presentation of honorary diplomas to winners of the international ‘Science & Education’, ‘Name in Science’ and ‘Innovation 2014’ competitions.
I am sure you will not want to miss this exciting as well as beneficial Science and Education Summit in Oxford.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
