‘Best Campus’

Best campusThe contest is open to:
The campuses of universities, colleges and other higher education institutions.


The entrants should:

  • submit their entry online no later than 15 November 2013;
  • provide a calendar of sports and cultural events that were held during the previous year (contests, events, concerts, festivals, etc.);
  • provide information about students’ leisure activities (student clubs, groups, organizations) and the student government body.
  • provide details of infrastructure facilities (tennis courts, swimming pools, recreational grounds, cafés, shops and other facilities); and
  • provide photos (up to 10 images) of the university (principal buildings, library, main hall/audience room, etc.) and the surrounding area (campus, stadium, sports grounds, parks, green areas, etc.).

All information could be provided in a film presentation (up to 3 minutes), and/or a written description (up to 5 pages)with photos (up to 10 images).

List of participants selected by the expert committee


The winner for this category will be decided in accordance with the following criteria:

  • the amount of comfortable living space;
  • infrastructural development, architectural style, interior design;
  • the quality of central or suburban areas, the environment, sport and health facilities, shops and cafés;
  • the effectiveness of the student government, variety and quality of leisure activities, and total number of students; and
  • the availability of modern communication technologies.
